Use the dialog box to enter parameters for cylinder as an inside shaft bore in Shaft Component Generator.

Access: |
Ribbon: Design tab  Power Transmission panel Shaft. On the Design tab, select Bore on the left or Bore on the right in the Sections drop-down list. On the toolbar, click Insert Cylindrical Bore

Dimensions
Enables cylinder dimensions editing.
Unlock the edit field to enable automatic update of the value in case you change the shaft parameters that influence such value. For example, if you lock Length value, and you update the length of designed shaft, the length of inside cone updates automatically.

Name |
Displays the name of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable. |

Size |
Click the Size field to insert a value, or select a value from displayed list. Click Measure from the context menu to measure dimension in the Autodesk Inventor window. Click List Parameters to display list with parameters. Click to select the parameter and insert the value to the Size edit field. Click Calculate from the context menu to automatically calculate a hollow through the length of the shaft (from a hollow on the left to a hollow on the right). |
