Edit symbols in drawings

  1. In the graphics window, select one or more symbols of the same type, right-click, and then select:
    • Edit Arrowhead to open the Change Arrowhead dialog box. Click the arrow to select a new style and then click the green check mark.
    • Add Leader/Vertex. To add a leader, click a point to specify the leader start point, and then click the leader line to attach the new leader to. To add a vertex, click a point on the existing leader, and then drag the new vertex point to the desired position.
    • Delete Leader. Use caution; a symbol whose leader has been deleted loses its association with the model.
    • Note: The context menu differs for particular symbol types.
  2. In the graphics window, select a symbol to display its grip points. Then move the grip points to the desired position.
    • To attach a symbol to a model edge, drag the base grip point to the desired edge.
    • Drag a symbol attachment point along a model edge to create an extension line. Drag a symbol without a leader away from the edge to create a leader. (Applies for most types of symbols.)

Change a symbol style

Select a symbol, and then on the Annotate tab, Format panel, click the arrow on the Style list and select a style to apply to the symbol. To change appearance of all symbols using a style, edit the style settings in Style and Standard Editor.
