Sets the printer options to apply to all files selected for a task that prints all or a part of the active model or drawing file.
The file type that you select for the task determines the available options.
- Access
- In the Autodesk Inventor Task Scheduler window, right-click, and select Create Task
Print Files. In the Print Files dialog box, select a file, and then click Options.
Options if the file you select is 3D
Sets the options for printing or plotting all or a portion of the active model.
- Name
- Specifies the printer or plotter. To change the printer or plotter, click the arrow and select from the list of currently configured printers.
- Size
- Specifies the paper size for the output.
- Source
- Specifies the paper source for the output.
- Orientation
- Specifies the orientation of the image on the page.
Portrait Orient the page with the shortest edges at the top and bottom.
Landscape Orient the page with the shortest edges at the left and right sides.
- AutoFit
- Specifies that the printer inherits the printer settings from the drawing. If you print more than one drawing, printer settings from the first drawing are applied to all
- Number of Copies
- Set the number of copies to print. Enter the number of copies.
Options if the file you select is 2D
Sets the options for printing or plotting the sheets in a drawing.
- Name
- Specifies the printer or plotter. To change the printer or plotter, click the arrow and then select from the list of currently configured printer
- Size
- Specifies the paper size for the output.
- Source
- Specifies the paper source for the output.
- Orientation
- Specifies the orientation of the image on the page.
Portrait Shortest edges at the top and bottom.
Landscape Shortest edges at the left and right sides.
- AutoFit
- Specifies that the printer inherits the printer settings from the drawing. If you print more than one drawing, printer settings from the first drawing are applied to all.
- Print Range
- Specifies the sheets to print.
Current Sheet Print the active sheet in the drawing.
All Sheets Print all the sheets in the drawing. To print sheets for which the Exclude from Printing option is checked in the Edit Sheet dialog box, select Print Excluded Sheets.
Sheets in Range Print the range of sheets specified in the From and To boxes.
From/To Set the first and last sheet when printing a range of sheets. Click Sheets in Range, and then enter the first and last sheet numbers in the range.
Print Excluded Sheets Specify whether to print excluded sheets.
- Settings
- Specifies overrides for color, black and white, lineweight, and rotation. Print settings are applied at print time.
Number of Copies Set the number of copies to print. Enter the number of copies in the box.
Rotate by 90 degrees Change the orientation of the drawing on the paper to 90 degrees.
All Colors as Black Print the drawing in black and white. Embedded images and shaded views are still printed in color.
Remove Object Line Weight Print all lineweights the same regardless of the lineweight settings in the drawing.
- Scale
- Sets the scale between the sheet size specified in the drawing and the paper size in the printer or plotter.
Model 1:1 Set the sheet and paper to the same scale. If the paper is smaller than the specified sheet size, a portion of the sheet does not print. Select if a drawing can be tiled for printing on multiple pages.
Tiling enabled Specify that large drawings can be tiled for printing on multiple pages. Registration marks are printed on page corners to allow alignment of printed pages. Page identifiers contain the drawing and sheet name and a table cell number to help keep pages in order.
Best Fit Set the sheet scale to the paper size.
Custom Set a custom scale. Enter a scale in the box, or select a scale from the drop-down list.
Current Window Scale the entire drawing to fit the size of the paper.
