Frame Generator files created in Autodesk Inventor 2008 require migration to Autodesk Inventor 2014 and Content Center to work with the Change Frame Members and Refresh commands. The migration process adds the Content Center data to the 2008 parts. Autodesk Inventor 2014 can then treat these files like other Content Center parts.
Before you begin these procedures:
For more information, see the Migration topic.
Start in the assembly environment.
All parts in the file are migrated, and the Frame Generator specific files are identical to those generated using Get Instance of Content Center.
All files are migrated together, regardless of the settings in the Save dialog box.
Any of the following commands start migration:
Commands on the ribbon | Commands on the context menu |
---|---|
Insert Frame Members | Delete with Frame Generator |
Change Frame Members | Edit with Frame Generator |
Miter Corners | Demote Frame Generator Components |
Trim to Frame Members | Promote Frame Generator Components |
Trim And Extend to Face | Delete Half of the End Treatment |
Notch Frame Members | |
Lengthen/Shorten Frame Member | |
Remove End Treatments | |
Refresh |
All frame files are migrated together. Any migration failure information is documented in the Task Scheduler migration log file.
