Mirror 3D sketch geometry

Use the Mirror command on the 3D Sketch tab to mirror 3D sketch geometry across a plane.

To begin, use commands on the 3D Sketch tab to create the geometry you want to mirror.

  1. On the ribbon, click 3D Sketch tab Pattern panel Mirror .
  2. Select the geometry to mirror.
  3. Click Mirror Plane in the dialog box or right-click and select Continue.
  4. Select the mirror plane.
  5. Click Apply in the dialog box to mirror the sketch.

The sketch geometry is mirrored around the selected mirror plane. Symmetric constraints are automatically applied between the mirrored geometry. You can delete or edit segments after you mirror them and the remaining segments are still symmetrical.

Note: When equation curves and included geometry are mirrored, a master/slave relationship is created. The source geometry drives the mirrored geometry.
