Drawings created before Intent 2009 can contain data stored in Intent Language v2, or ISL2. To open these files in the current version, first convert the Intent Language data to v3 using IntentUp.
- In AutoCAD, open a drawing that contains obsolete ISL2 data. Intent automatically extracts this data to a file named <drawing_name>.v2.ikm, in the same folder as the drawing. Intent does not read the v2 model, so no Intent Model displays in the browser.
- Use IntentUp to convert the <drawing_name>.v2.ikm data to v3 language format, and save the file as <drawing_name>.v3.ikm, in the same folder as the drawing.
- Open the drawing again in AutoCAD. This time, Intent finds the v3 ikm file, and replaces the v2 data with the v3 data. The Intent model displays in the browser, indicating that the conversion of the file is successful.
