Specifies the import criteria to apply to JT files selected for the import task.
Specifies the data types to import, and how data is grouped in Autodesk Inventor LT. The file type selected for the task determines the available options.
Access: | |
---|---|
With a JT file selected in the Import Task dialog box, click Options. |
Translation Report | |
---|---|
Specifies whether to embed the Translation Report or save it to disk. | |
Embed in Document | Select to display the translation report icon ![]() ![]() |
Save to Disk |
Save to Disk. Select to save a copy of the report to the Component Destination Folder. |
Entity Types to Import | |
---|---|
Select to import the entities: Solids (import solid bodies and water tight stitched shells as individual solid bodies), Surfaces (import surface bodies. Water tight stitched shells are imported as solid bodies.), Meshes, Work Planes, Work Axes, Wires, Work Points, and Points. |
Data Organization | |
---|---|
Specifies how data is created in the Inventor file. |
|
Import into Repair environment |
Select to check the model for errors and create a repair node in the browser. You can edit, diagnose, and repair an imported base body in the Repair environment. A repair body participates in the model history. |
Import Assembly as Single Part | Select to import an assembly as a part. Not available if you select Import Multiple Solid Parts as Assembly. Choose from:
|
Tessellation Detail | Controls the tessellation of the imported meshes. Select Highest Detail or Lowest Detail. |
Units | |
---|---|
Specifies the units to use for non-native data in the import file. | |
Import Units | Converts the imported geometry and parameter values to the selected units. |
Post Processes | |
---|---|
Specifies the processes to perform on the files you import: | |
Check Parts During Load | Select to perform a quality check of the solid body imported data. If bad data is found, the body is marked with ![]() Note: This option is in addition to the automatic check of composites, and it can significantly increase the amount of time required to translate a file.
|
Enable Advance Healing | Select to perform operations like surface trimming, spline surface reconstruction, and the reintersection of surfaces, on the imported models to make them watertight and usable in Autodesk Inventor LT. Due to the nature of the healing operation, the process can add computational time to the import process, and alter geometry in the original file slightly. |
