Note: Prior to creating cooling channels, you must first create a cooling plane.
Click (Geometry tab > Cooling System panel > Channel). The Create channel dialog appears in the Tools tab.
Click Browse to select a Type of channel.
The Channel type selection pane appears.
Select the Channel type from the drop down list.
Enter the size of the channels in the Diameter (1) text box.
Click OK to apply the changes and close the dialog.
To create a cooling channel, click on the start point on the grid, move the mouse to the required end point of the cooling channel and click the mouse button again.
The Start point and End point values in the Create channel dialog are filled in with the coordinates of the selected points.
Tip: To alter the grid plane:
Hold down the Ctrl key to display the X=0 grid, centered on the current position.
Hold down the Shift key to display the Y=0 grid, centered on the current position.
Hold down the Alt key to display the Z=0 grid which is the default.
Continue to create more channels either by selecting a new point on the grid or selecting an existing intersection point and repeating the step above.
Click OK to save the channels and close the Create channel dialog.
