A hot gate is used when a hot runner (runnerless) system has been chosen. A hot circular tapered gate can be used with either externally heated or insulated runner systems.
Hot circular tapered gates are a variation of hot circular gates and will break or shear automatically when the molding tool is opened to eject the part. This gate minimizes visibility of the injection point on the part, compared with cold runner systems.
