Plot properties dialog-Part Display tab

Specify how edges are displayed on deformed and undeformed parts, and also the surface opacity of the parts.

Dialog elements

Edge display on undeformed part

Specify how the feature edges are to be displayed on the modeled (undeformed) part.

Off (Edge display on undeformed part)

Turn off the display of feature edges in the modeled (undeformed) part.

Feature lines (Edge display on undeformed part)

Allow features in the modeled (undeformed) part to be highlighted by making visible relevant feature edges.

Edge display on deformed part
Specify how the feature edges are to be displayed on the deformed representation of the part in a deflection plot.
Note: The Edge display on deformed part options are only relevant if Overlay with undeformed part is selected on the Deflection tab of the Plot properties dialog.

Turn off the display of feature edges on the deformed representation of the part in a deflection plot.

Feature lines (Edge display on deformed part)

Allow features on the deformed representation of the part in a deflection plot to be highlighted by making visible relevant feature edges.

Surface display
Specify how the surface of the model is to be displayed in the result plot.
Opaque
Overlay the result plot on a solid (gray) representation of the model.
Transparent
Overlay the result on a semi-transparent representation of the model.
The lower the opacity value, the more transparent the model will appear.
Opacity
Specify the degree of transparency for the model display.

The lower the opacity value, the more transparent the model will appear.

Enter a value between 1 (solid) and 0 (not visible).
