Explanation

The compressibility is obtained from the pvT material data model. If the model coefficients have been fit correctly, then the calculated compressibility values will be reliable in the range of normal processing conditions. If a negative compressibility is returned from the pvT functions, it indicates that either the flow solution has become unstable or that the pvT material data coefficients are incorrect.

Resolution

• Check the pvT coefficients for the current material.
• Check the viscosity data for the current material.
• Select a different material.
• Allow a small transition time for large pressure changes between steps in the filling or packing profile.
• Check the model for defects.
