This dialog is used to show, hide, or sort the columns displayed in the results of a database search.
To access this dialog when searching for a particular material, click (), click Search, specify one or more search criteria and click Search, then click Columns in the search results dialog.
Note: This search functionality is available wherever you are required to select an entry in a
Autodesk-supplied or personal database. The key access points are:

- A number of options from the Boundary Conditions tab.
- The database-related entries in the Tools tab.
Dialog elements
- Visible Columns
- Indicates all the properties available for display, in the form of columns. The check marks to the side of the names allows you to show or hide the column.
Click a box next to a column name for it to appear in the table. The order of the columns can be changed if you select the column name and then the (Up) or (Down) buttons.
- Down
- Allows you to move a column down in the Visible Columns list. By doing this the column's position is changed and assumes its relevant position in the Select Materials To Compare With dialog.
Click a box next-to a column name and click the (Down) arrow to move the selected column name down in the Visible Columns list.
- Up
- Allows you to move a column up in the Visible Columns list. By doing this the column's position is changed and assumes its relevant position in the Select Materials To Compare With dialog.
Click a box next-to a column name and click the (Up) arrow to move the selected column name up in the Visible Columns list.
