Plot properties dialog-Scaling tab

Specify how the minimum and maximum values on the result plot are to be selected for an animated result.

Dialog elements

All frames
Use the minimum and maximum values of all frames, (the extreme values) to define the scale for each individual frame.
Note: Results are automatically scaled to the visible layers only.
Per frame
Allows each frame to use its own minimum and maximum values.

For example, when you plot data as a time series or thickness variant plot, the color will be scaled for each frame within the minimum and maximum values for that frame. For example, is you selected a Pressure vs. Time plot, every time instant in the plot will be displayed as a variation in color from blue to red.

Note: Results are automatically scaled to the visible layers only.
Specified
Specify the minimum and maximum values to apply across all frames.
Min.
Specify the minimum value to be applied across all frames.
Max.
Specify the maximum value to be applied across all frames.
Extended color
Applies the shading of the final frame to every other frame in regions which lie outside the specified scaling boundaries.

Once the Minimum and Maximum cutoff range has been set, it is possible the result will be represented on only a portion of the part. The Extended color option continues the shading (based on the minimum and maximum values) over the part, where data exceeds the maximum or is less than the minimum.

For example, if the values plotted represent only a narrow range across the middle of a part, the minimum (blue) end of the color scale will be extended from the plotted range to the ends of the model, where the minimum is not met.
