Creating gates manually by gate properties

Before you can create a gate, you must have created at least one injection location on the model.

1. Click (Geometry tab > Feed System panel > Gate). The Create gate dialog appears.
2. Select an injection location from the Select drop-down list.
   Tip: You can also click the relevant injection cone.
3. If necessary, select the Display Grid and/or Snap to grid checkbox.
   Tip: Use the Defaults... button to change the grid properties.
4. Select Define by gate properties.
5. If necessary, click Browse to define the gate properties.
6. Click Apply to create the gate.
7. Apply gate properties for all injection points, and then click Close.
   Tip: If all the gates are to be the same, just click Apply for each injection point displayed in the Select drop-down list.
8. Click Apply, to view the gate.
9. Make changes to the gate or add new gates, as appropriate, and then click OK to save and close the dialog.
