To access this dialog select Measure from the Navigation bar or the View tab of the ribbon. Alternatively, right-click on anywhere on the model and select Measure from the context menu.
To make a measurement, click anywhere on the model to set the start point. Then click a second point on the model to set the end point.
Dialog elements
- Start
- Displays the point the measurement will be made from (the first point selected).
- End
- Displays the point the measurement will be made to (the second point selected).
- Distance
- Displays the distance between the Start and End points.
- Vector
- Displays the vector in coordinates relative to the selected start point.
- Snap To
- Specifies whether you can select Any point on your model, or only nodes. If you choose to snap to the Nearest Node, for any point on the model that you select, the closest node will be selected instead.

- Arrow
- When checked, the measurement vector will be displayed as an arrow. The slider adjusts the size of the arrow head.
