Use this page to define your scrap rate and maximum regrind allowance. These figures automatically update the material requirements and number of production shots needed to obtain the correct number of finished parts. Costs are also adjusted accordingly.

- Specify information about the estimated scrap rate and regrind allowance.
- Estimated scrap rate
- Specify the rate of scrap for the shot to be produced, including all runners and rejected parts.
- If this rate is greater than the maximum regrind allowance, the Cost Adviser will use the maximum regrind allowance as it calculates material cost. This will prevent you from recycling all of the scrap.
- Maximum regrind allowance
- Specify the percentage of regrind allowed for the shot to be produced.
- Estimated material cost (including scrap and regrind)
- Estimated total material cost for the production, including waste.
The calculation is based on production data, including scrap and regrind.
- Estimated production including scrap
- Displays the number of shots to be produced, calculated from the number of shots, plus the scrap rate.
- The number of shots to be produced, calculated from the number of shots, plus the scrap rate.
- Material cost per shot
- Displays the material-related costs to produce one part, including scrap and regrind, based on the part volume and material price.
- Material cost for total production
- Displays the total material-related costs for the production run of all parts, including scrap and regrind.
