Electronic Download installation

The installer comes as a self-extracting shell script. Download the file that matches your distribution.

Download the file that matches your distribution.

Distribution and version	Shell script name
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.8	install-workstation-ami2014-rhel5.sh
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.2 (or higher)	install-workstation-ami2014-rhel6.sh

Run the shell script as root:

# sh install-workstation-ami2014-rhel6.sh

The installer will install the required packages, ask you a few questions, and configure the installation.
