Supported model import formats

The following tables lists the model formats that you can import.

Note:
  • When saving the model, ensure that the extension matches the entry in the table.
  • Unless the model has a *.sdy file format, only a single cavity can be imported. Multiple cavity models must be separated into single cavities before import.

Import through Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Design Link

Some of these models can be imported in their native format using the Direct Import using Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Design Link option.

The table below lists the additional model formats that can be imported through Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Design Link, and specifies if Direct Import is available for these file types.
