The fixed constraint is used to constrain all degrees of freedom at the selected node.
Fixed constraints are used during structural analyses to prevent rigid body motion of the model in response to applied loads.

Fixed constraint (Procedure)
To perform a Stress analysis, you need to constrain sufficient degrees of freedom, translational and/or rotational, within the part so as to prevent rigid body motion (free rotation in space) under the applied loads. In addition, you may want to set further constraints to simulate the constraints on the part when in use, for example, areas of the part that are fixed to another object.
