Supported File Types
Navisworks Quantification project documents may consist of native and aggregated design files from Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD applications. The source application determines whether automatic model takeoff is available, and providing your files retain their properties and GUID from the original design file, you can carry out model takeoff.
When exporting from the source application, ensure you also export the object properties and GUID. If no properties are available or an object has not been mapped from the source file, you can carry out a virtual takeoff.
Quantification supports native and derivate file formats for the following applications.
Publishing application | File type |
---|---|
AutoCAD Architecture 2012 | .dwf, dwfx |
AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 | .dwf, dwfx |
AutoCAD MEP 2012 | .dwf, dwfx |
AutoCAD Plant 3D 2012 | .dwf, dwfx |
Inventor | .dwf, dwfx |
Revit | .rvt, .nwc, .dwf, .dwfx |
Only 3D design files that contain properties are fully supported for model takeoff. 2D files are not currently supported.
