The Quantification workbook is your key workspace. From here you can perform a model (automatic) takeoff or a virtual (manual) takeoff. You can change the view in the Quantification workbook to either Item view or Resource view by clicking 
.
1. Navigation pane. This contains a list of Items and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) codes.
2. Rollup pane. The summary of your takeoff items. Right-click a column header to change the columns displayed in the Rollup pane.
3. Takeoff pane. Displays all takeoff items. Right-click a column header to change the columns displayed in the Takeoff pane.
4. Toolbar. Access the main functions of Quantification using the toolbar.
