Code Checking requirements

Learn how to set up and perform Code Checking on your structure.

Before you use the structural code checking tools, check that the following requirements are met:

• You have structural analysis results inside the Revit® project.
  Tip: Click Analyze tab Structural Analysis panel Results Manager to check that the results are saved inside the Revit project.
• You have registered at least one code checking application.
  Note: Code checking applications are add-ins that you can download on the Exchange app (http://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/RVT/Home/Index) website.

Once these requirements are complete, you can start the analysis setup as follows:

1. Set up the design code, or group of design codes, that you want to use as reference for the analysis.
2. Set up groups of parameters, and assign them to the elements of the structure.
