Combining Analytical and Physical Element Information in a Schedule

In schedules you can include properties of physical structural elements and the corresponding analytical elements, and vice versa. You can then report physical element properties with a given analytical element and analytical element properties with a corresponding physical element. For example, you can identify structural beams for which pinned release conditions are defined.

To include analytical element information in the structural element schedule:

  1. For an existing schedule, do the following:
    1. In the Project Browser, select the structural element schedule.
    2. On the Properties Palette, click Edit for the Fields parameter.

If you are creating a new schedule, do the following:

    1. Click View tab Create Panel Schedules drop-down Schedule / Quantities.
    2. In the New Schedule dialog, select a structural component (e.g. Structural Columns) as the category, and click OK.
  2. On the Fields tab, expand the Select available fields from list and select Analytical.

The Available fields list updates to show all the available parameters for an analytical element (e.g. analytical column), prefixed by Analytical.

  3. Select the appropriate fields, and click OK.

Including structural element information in the analytical element schedule

Use the same procedure, but select an existing analytical element schedule, or for a new schedule, select an analytical component as the category. Then in the Schedule Properties dialog, select Physical from the Select available fields from list. The Available fields list updates to show all the available parameters for a structural element, prefixed by Physical.
