Saving a Specific Backup Version as a New File

  1. Click Collaborate tabSynchronize panel (Restore Backup).
  2. In the Browse for Folder dialog, navigate to the backup folder, and click Open.
  3. In the Project Backup Versions dialog, select the version to save.
  4. Click Save As, and save the file.
  5. When you save the project under the new name, Revit prompts you to open the extracted project. Click Yes or No.

Revit considers this file as a local version of the central model. If you want the file to become the new central model, you must explicitly save it as such. For more information, see Creating a Central Model from an Existing Workshared File.
