Modifying Elective Checking Criteria and Tolerances
Click Analyze tabTools panel .
Select the Analytical Model Settings options you want to enable during consistency or member support checks.
By default, all of the Elective Checking Criteria options, except for Valid Physical Material Asset, are enabled. For more information, see Automatic Checks.
Analytical model connectivity checks if elements of the analytical model are connected with each other. It is correlated with the value of Support distance specified under Tolerances. Nodal connections are an exception; while checking their connectivity the tolerance is not applied.
Analytical model adjusted away from default location. An analytical model has a default location based on the physical element. This check verifies if the analytical model of the element is adjusted away from it. It is correlated with the value of Analytical adjustment distance specified under Tolerances.
Analytical Beam and Floor overlap check. If physical models of a beam and a slab overlap, this check verifies if their analytical models also overlap.
Possible instability based on release conditions checks if release conditions of 2 connected analytical elements are correct.
Analytical model outside physical model checks if the analytical model is included in the physical model. The tolerance for this check is specified by the value of Analytical-to-physical model distance set under Tolerances.
Valid Physical Material Asset checks if the Physical Material Asset property is assigned to analytical elements. This property refers to the material of the physical element.
Under Tolerances, enter the appropriate distances to meet your specifications.
Support distance specifies the distance between the physical model of an element and the physical model of the supporting element.
Analytical-to-Physical model distance specifies the distance between the analytical and physical model.
Analytical adjustment distance specifies the analytical model distance from the default location.
Horizontal auto detect specifies the distance between the analytical and physical model for horizontal elements.
Vertical auto detect specifies the distance between the analytical and physical model for vertical elements.
