Tagging Stair Components

Tag a stair or individual stair components.

In addition to tagging a stair, you can tag the individual runs, landings, and supports. Tags can be placed in plan, section, elevation, and locked 3D views. For more information on tagging, see Tags.

  1. Click Annotate tabTag panel (Tag by Category).
  2. On the Options Bar:
    • To set the orientation of the tag, select Vertical or Horizontal.

After you place the tag, you can change its orientation by selecting the tag and pressing the Spacebar.

    • If you want the tag to have a leader line, select Leader.
    • Specify whether the leader should have an Attached End or Free End.
    • If desired, enter a value for the length of the leader in the text box next to the Leader check box.
  3. Press Tab to highlight the stair component to tag, and click to place the tag.

After the tag is placed, it is in edit mode and can be repositioned. You can move the leader, text, and tag head arrow.
