Click Manage tabSettings panel Additional Settings drop-down Line Patterns.
In the Line Patterns dialog, click New.
In the Line Pattern Properties dialog, enter a name for the pattern.
Click in the value for Type, and select either a dash or a dot.
If you selected a dash, click under Value, and enter a value. This is the length of the dash. Because dots are all drawn at 1.5 points, they do not require an associated value.
In the next row, select space for Type. Revit requires that you follow a dash or dot with a space.
Click under Value, and enter a value for the space.
Repeat the procedure until the pattern is complete.
Click OK.
In the Line Patterns dialog, the new line pattern displays in the list of available patterns.
Click OK.
The new line pattern is stored in the project only.
