Set Up the Project

To design a building model, first create a project in Revit, and then enter project-specific information.

Create the project.   Use a project template provided by your CAD/BIM manager, or use a default template.
Specify project information.   Enter the client name, project name, number, and address.
Specify the project location.   Indicate where the building resides by specifying the street address, a latitude and longitude, or the nearest city.
Create construction phases.   By default, Revit defines an Existing phase and a New phase. It also indicates the demolition of existing construction. If you need additional project phases, create them.
