Deleting Areas

Delete selected areas from a project when you no longer want to retain any information about the areas.

To delete one or more areas

  1. If the project does not include an area schedule, create one.

    See Creating a Schedule or Quantity.

  2. Display the area schedule in the drawing area.
  3. To delete one area, place the cursor in the schedule row for that area.
  4. To delete multiple areas, do the following:
    1. Click Modify Schedule/Quantities tabFilter Not Placed & Unenclosed Items panel (Isolate).

      This tool filters the schedule so that it lists only the areas that are not placed or enclosed.

    2. Drag the cursor across the schedule rows for the areas to delete.
  5. Click Schedule panel (Delete).
  6. At the warning message, click OK.
  7. The selected areas are deleted from the project. The project no longer stores any information about the areas.
