Open/Save Project

Valid file formats which can be opened or saved in Robot are listed below. Files opened in Robot are always converted to the *.RTD format.

*.S	SSDNF (Structural Steel Detailing Neutral File) format file
*S2K	SAP 2000^® program file
*.ANF	StruCAD^® program file
*.SAT	SAT (Standard ACIS Text) format file
*.NEU	FEMAP^® program neutral file
*.RDX	Robot program file (solid structure format)
*.IFC	*.IFC format file (data exchange format, versions 2.x, 2.x2 only). Older versions (2.0 and earlier) of this format are not supported. This allows importing bar objects and 2D panels with openings without transferring bar sections.

File Saving

Note: If structures defined in Robot have been saved in the *.RTD file without calculation results, then saving a file with the same name in the *.RTD format again - without results is not possible. The file is saved, but will still contain calculation results. To save files in such cases, the file should be renamed.
