Combinations

Open the Combinations dialog using one of the following methods:

Use this dialog to define and modify load case combinations, when at least one load case combination has been defined.

To define load cases for a combination:

  1. Select a load case from the List of Cases in Combinations (A list of defined load cases not included in the combination, corresponding to the selected load nature).
  2. Enter a coefficient value for the load case in the Coefficient field. If auto is displayed in the field, the coefficient defined for the nature of the load is automatically applied.
  3. Click >. After this button is pressed, the selected load cases with the appropriate coefficients are added to the List of Cases in Combination.
Note: After a case is added to the combination, it is removed from the list of cases defined in the structure.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each load case.
  5. Click Apply.

Robot can generate combinations with moving load cases. However, the following limitations apply:

If all defined load cases are to be included in the combination, click >>. After this button is pressed, all load cases from the list with their appropriate coefficients are added to the List of Cases in Combination.

Note: After the cases are added to the combination, they are removed from the list of cases defined in the structure.

Two additional buttons: < (Deletes load cases with the appropriate coefficients from the List of Cases in Combination) and << (After this button is pressed, all cases from the List of Cases in Combination are removed and added to the Case List) are between the fields displaying the predefined load cases and the load case combinations.

To change the default coefficient values for load natures click Coefficient Definition.

The Nature drop-down list displays only load cases of a selected nature. However, when All is selected, all load cases defined in the structure are displayed.

At the bottom of the dialog there are standard buttons (Apply, Close, and Help) and the following ones:
