Click the Tools menu > Job Preferences > Materials to open the Materials dialog.
From the Materials drop-down list, you can select by country the materials to be used in the structure design. Click Modification to define or modify a material.
You can define the basic set of materials used during structure analysis:
Steel
Specifies the types of steel that are available by country (Materials field).
Concrete
Specifies the classes of concrete that are available by country (Materials field).
Aluminum
Specifies the types of aluminum that are available by country (Materials field).
Timber
Specifies the types of timber that are available by country (Materials field).
Note: If you define a material with a name that exists in the material database and you have saved this material in the *.RTD file, then when you open the file in Robot, the material parameters are read from the *.RTD file and not from the material database.
