With the Simulation Queue, you can automatically run multiple scenarios sequentially. The queue requires no special steps, and is managed through the user interface and the Solution Monitor.
To add scenarios to the queue (while the first scenario is running):
- Activate another scenario in the design study.
- Click Solve on the Solve dialog.
The scenario is added to the queue, and the word “Queued” appears in the Status bar in the lower left corner of the Interface. Queued scenarios run in the order in which they are submitted.
Tracking Scenarios in the Queue
- You can use the Solution Monitor to track and remove scenarios from the queue.
- At any time while a scenario is running, you can open it in Autodesk Simulation CFD. The current solution results are displayed in the Graphics window.
- When a scenario is completed, it is removed from the Solution Monitor.
- If a scenario diverges or stops because of errors, the next scenario in the queue automatically starts.
- When a scenario is completed, open it in the Autodesk Simulation CFD interface.
Note: If the simulation was run on a remote machine, open it on the Interface computer (the machine from which it was launched). This step ensures that the results are properly saved to the design study. Do not attempt to manually copy over files from the solver machine back to the interface machine.
When you exit the interface, save the design study when prompted.
