For those that have purchased the Local Solve version, it is possible to select between running your simulations on the local workstation or on the Autodesk® 360 solver on the cloud.
To toggle between cloud and local solving in Simulation CFD 360, select either CLOUD or LOCAL from the Solver Computer menu on the Solve dialog Control tab.
- Select CLOUD to run your simulations using Autodesk® 360 (cloud). This is the default selection.
- Select LOCAL to run the simulation on your local computer. An Internet connection is required to verify your Autodesk® 360 contract level. Your Autodesk® 360 contract must contain the Local Solve entitlement. (Check with your contract manager for details.)
- Note that all simulation data is kept on the local computer; none is transferred to the cloud.
- You can change the order of the options in the Solver Computer menu. By default, CLOUD precedes LOCAL. To change the order so LOCAL is the first entry, open the Solver Computers dialog from the Simulation panel drop-down menu, select LOCAL, and click Move Up.
