To Run a Simulation with Dalton

As soon as your model is loaded, you can run a simulation and get results instantly.

1. Start Dalton.
2. Import a .PCF or .JSON model file:
   1. In the Home ribbon, click Import.
   2. Navigate to your model file, and select it.
   3. Click Open.
   Note: Once your file is open in Dalton, you can click Save if you want to save it as a JSON file.
3. Click Solve. The simulation results are calculated instantaneously, click Results to access them.
   Tip: Use the browser to access more detailed results on a particular area of the circuit.
4. You can visualize the results for the entire model, or for a specific area of your model.
   • To visualize the results for the entire model, click Results in the Home ribbon, and then select a type of result.

     The results are displayed as a range of colors on the model, where blue indicates the minimum value, and red indicates the maximum value. The legend is also displayed to help you better understand results.

   • To access more detailed results on a specific area of your circuit, use the browser (View ribbon> Browser) and navigate to the element of your choice.

     For each element, individual results are listed under the Results section.

5. Click Export to save your results as a .CSV file.
