What Does a Charge Do?
- A charge is applied to a part that acts as either a charge source or a charge sink throughout the analysis. The charge density is specified on a per volume basis.
- To apply the charge in the analysis, in the Analysis Parameters dialog box, Multipliers tab, assign a Current or charge source multiplier. This value is multiplied by the charge density and the product is used for the charge load in the analysis.
Apply Charges
If you have parts selected, right-click in the display area and select the Add pull-out menu. Then select Charge.
In Magnitude, specify the magnitude of the charge. A positive value represents a charge source. A negative value represents a charge sink.
