What Does a Current Do?
- A current is applied to a part that acts as either a current source or a current sink throughout the analysis. The current density is specified on a per volume basis.
- To apply the current in the analysis, in the Analysis Parameters dialog box, Multipliers tab, assign a Current or charge source multiplier. This value is multiplied by the current density and the product is used for the current load in the analysis.
Apply Currents
If you have parts selected, right-click in the display area and select the Add pull-out menu. Then select Current.
In the Magnitude field, specify the magnitude of the current. A positive value represents a current source. A negative value represents a current sink.
