Note: Properties support for the Revit Vault add-in is available in the Autodesk Vault 2014 Subscription Release 1.
When a Revit Project is checked into a vault, the Vault Server extracts the properties associated with the project, including custom properties created in Revit.
Note: Write-back support is not available for custom properties. Custom properties are treated as read-only.
Mapping Properties
If you want users to be able to search and edit properties for Revit projects in Vault, the properties must be mapped to user-defined properties (UDPs) in the Vault client.
Restriction: Revit properties are extracted as text data types, even if they are dates, and cannot be mapped to date type UDPs. Custom UDPs should be created with a text data type before mapping to Revit properties.
Choose Revit Models as the Content Source Provider when mapping in the client.
Note: By default, the Author property is mapped to the Author (UDP).
