Automatic file numbers enable you to organize your files with systematic naming schemes.
When you are logged into a vault and do a Save As, the system can automatically append a set of predefined characters to the file name based on the scheme configured in the Autodesk Vault client. This enables you to enforce file naming conventions and prevent duplicate file names from being created.
You can generate a file number for a single file or multiple files.
The default scheme is Sequential. Other numbering schemes can be designed in the Autodesk Vault client. See the Autodesk Vault client help for more information.
