Modify one of the parts in the assembly to show how Autodesk Vault tracks changes to data.
- In SolidWorks, switch back to the Model browser.
- Right-click the Leg.sldprt part, and then select Open Part.
A message informs you that this is a read-only document.
- Click OK.
- In the Vault ribbon click Check Out.
The Vault status icon has changed from an empty circle
to a check mark 
. The check mark alerts you that the file has been checked out to you. - Edit the model, for example by adding a hole.
