Copy a Project Link

A link to an object can be copied and pasted anywhere in Project Explorer. The pasted link points to the same target as the original link. There are three ways to copy a link.

Copy a Link with Right-Click Drag-and-Drop

  1. Right-click on the target object that you want to copy and drag it to the desired folder.
  2. Release the object and a context menu appears.
  3. Select Create Link from the menu.

    A link is created that references the target of the copied link. There is no limit on the number of links that can be created.

Copy a Link Using the Edit Menu

  1. Select the link that you want to copy.
  2. Select Edit > Copy.
  3. Select the destination folder for the link.
  4. Select Edit > Paste as link.

    A link is created that references the target of the copied link. There is no limit on the number of links that can be created.

Copy a Link Using Keyboard Shortcuts

  1.  Select the link that you want to copy.
  2. Press Ctrl+C on the keyboard.
  3. Select the destination folder for the link.
  4. Press Ctrl+Alt+V.
