Meshing CAD Models – Part 4: Boundary Layer Meshes

Note: This video discusses a solid meshing option that was specifically designed for fluid flow analyses performed within Autodesk® Simulation Multiphysics. Fluid flow analyses are not available in Autodesk® Simulation Mechanical, and Simulation Multiphysics is no longer available as of the 2014 release. For fluid flow analyses, you need Autodesk® Simulation CFD, CFD 360, or Sim 360 Pro. Nonetheless, this mesh setting is still available, and the information in the video regarding its applicability is still valid. You may wish to use the Tetrahedra and wedges (boundary layer) option if you plan on exporting your mesh into another FEA program for fluid flow analysis.
