Next, we will apply the distributed loads to the top horizontal beam.
- With the
Selection 
Shape Point or Rectangle and 
Selection Select Lines commands active, click and drag to draw a box around the top line of the model. Be careful not to select any of the adjacent diagonal elements. - Click
Setup Beam Loads Beam Distributed Load. - Type -10 in the Magnitude field.
- Select the Z radio button.
- Click OK. The model displays as shown in the following image.
