To update the industry model structure

You can update the industry model structure using Infrastructure Administrator. When you open a project, you are prompted to update the structure of each of its industry models.

1. Click Start menu > Programs > Autodesk > AutoCAD Map 3D 2015 > Autodesk Industry Model Setup.
2. Under step 1, Connect To Database, log in as an Oracle user with rights on SYS.DBMS_RLS and DBA rights (default “SYS”).

   Service name (SID) default is ORCL.

   Enter your login credentials and click Next to establish the connection.

   The system checks the Spatial user MDSYS. MDSYS must be unlocked and the password must not be expired. If the MDSYS is not set up, the wizard displays the Connect To Database - Manage Spatial User step. Unlock the username and set a password.

3. Under step 2, Manage System User, select the MAPSYS user, and enter the password.
4. Click Refresh, and view the Map 3D System User Information grid.
5. Click Update.
6. To read the update details, click View Log.

   Save the log file for further reference.

7. Click Next to continue.
8. Step 3, Manage Main User, displays your MAPMAIN. Normally, no action is required. Click Next to continue.
9. Step 4, Select Industry Models displays your existing industry models. Select all industry models to update. Click Next to continue.
10. In step 5, Verify User Permissions, log in with your Infrastructure Administrator credentials.
11. Click Update.
12. In step 6, Update Industry Models, the status window lists the updates that are applied to each industry model.

    Errors that prevent an industry model from being updated are highlighted in red. To read the update details, click View Log. Save the log file for further reference.

13. Close Industry Model Setup.
