Create a traverse by defining a start point and a point of closure, and then defining sides.
- Click Analyze tab

Coordinate Geometry Editor. Note: If the
Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box is already open, click

to clear the dialog box and create a new traverse.
- In the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box, specify the following data:
- Adjustment and Balance Rules—Adjustment method used when generating a traverse report.
- Start Point—Base point for the traverse.
- Point of Closure—End point of the traverse, if the traverse is open.
Preview glyphs of the
start point and
point of closure are displayed in the drawing.
Note: Preview graphic colors may be configured through the

Coordinate Geometry Editor Settings.
- Specify the Angle/Direction and Distance of the first line.
Note: The first side of a traverse must be a line.
A preview of the line is displayed in the drawing.
- Specify subsequent Side Types, and then the requisite parameters.

- On the main toolbar, click
to save the traverse to a TRV or TRVX file.
- Click Close.
