CATIA V4 (MODEL, DLV4, DLV3, DLV, EXP, SESSION, MDL) Files

You can import CATIA V4 files as 3ds Max Body Objects.

(When you animate with Auto Key, simply changing the spinners value sets a key.)

• Application Menu > Import > Select File to Import dialog > Files of type drop-down list > Choose Catia V4 (*.MODEL, *.DLV4, *.DLV3, *.DLV, *.EXP, *.SESSION, *.MDL).

CATIA^® is computer-aided design software from Dassault Systèmes.

3ds Max does not export the CATIA V4 format.

Support for the CATIA V4 format is provided by Autodesk DirectConnect.

Interface

There are no import options. When you import a CATIA V4 file, 3ds Max displays a progress dialog and a progress bar. When import is complete, the Body Objects appear in 3ds Max viewports.
