CATIA V5 (CATPRODUCT, CATPART) Files

You can import CATIA V5 files as 3ds Max Body Objects.

• Application Menu > Import > Select File to Import dialog > Files of type drop-down list > Choose Catia V5 (*.CATPART, *.CATPRODUCT).

CATIA^® is computer-aided design software from Dassault Systèmes.

3ds Max does not export the CATIA V5 format.

Support for the CATIA V5 format is provided by Autodesk DirectConnect.

Interface

There are no import options. When you import a CATIA V5 file, 3ds Max displays a progress dialog and a progress bar. When import is complete, the Body Objects appear in 3ds Max viewports.
