Lock Selection

Lock Selection toggles the ability to highlight keys in Track View.

• Track View > Editing Keys in Curve Editor > Curves toolbar > (Lock Selection)
• Track View > Dope Sheet Introduction > Display toolbar > (Lock Selection)
• Track View > Tools Toolbar > (Lock Selection)
• Keyboard > must be on) (Keyboard Shortcut Override Toggle

When Lock Selection is on you can't inadvertently deselect highlighted keys or select other keys. When a selection is locked you can move or scale keys by dragging anywhere in the window, not just on a highlighted key.

Procedures

To use Lock Selection in Track View:

1. In the Track View Key window, highlight one or more keys and activate an editing command such as Move Keys or Scale Keys.
2. On the Track View toolbar, turn on (Lock Selection), then drag anywhere inside the Track View Key window.

   All selected keys move regardless of where inside the Track View Key window you click and drag.
