Accurately representing fiber orientations is essential to any simulation of injection molded parts. You can compare the two meshes prior to mapping the fiber orientations onto the structural mesh.
Advanced Material Exchange also provides you with the ability to specify an analysis type and material model. Depending on the material used in the Moldflow analysis, you may be asked to provide additional material properties required to perform the structural analysis or choose a fully characterized material that has been supplied.
After the fiber orientations have been mapped to the structural mesh, Advanced Material Exchange generates an input file containing the material data, geometry, and boundary conditions and an interface file that contains the fiber orientations. Each of these files will be used in the structural analysis simulation.
