Mapping Results

Map results from the Moldflow model to the structural model.

1. Click Home > Mapping > Map Results.
2. Click Home > View Results > Fiber Orientation. This displays the contour plot of the fiber orientation tensor on the model geometry.

Looking at the comparison of how the fiber orientations are shown on each model, you may decide that the mesh of the structural model is too coarse. If so, you may re-mesh the structural geometry using Abaqus and re-import the model with the refined mesh.

To re-import click Home > Launch > Import Structural Model. You will be presented with a warning dialog shown below.

After clicking Yes, you may proceed to select the refined model for import.

Note: After importing the new model, you will need to map results once again.
